I'm a member of an advisory group with 4 other property management companies across the United States. They are located in Nevada, Minnesota, Indiana and South Carolina. About 6 months ago, we put our heads together and realized that there's some lack of services within the property management industry. We sent out a survey with 25 of the services that we felt our clients would be interested in. We asked them to rank the top 10. From the top 10, we found 4 areas that were most important to our clients. The first one was the care of their HVAC system. The second one was additional property inspections while the resident is occupying the property. The third one is additional marketing to help them lease their properties faster and less vacancy. The last one is to protect the asset more as the long -term investment and not just as a rental.
